Welcome to the final Range Management Newsletter for 2015. This has been a year of change for the RMN – the revamped digital version of the newsletter was launched earlier in the year as part of the new ARS website, and now it is time to say goodbye to the printed version. I hope all of you who have previously been reading the newsletter in hard copy only will now check it out online – the content will remain the same (or better we hope!) and the photographs and diagrams really stand out with full colour and increased size. As a reminder, the current issue is posted in the member’s area of the website while archive issues are available to all readers.
There are several interesting articles in this issue, however I would like to highlight a couple of the short Conference notices. Firstly, the 10th International Rangelands Congress will be held in Saskatoon, Canada from July 17-22 July 2016. Online registration is now open and papers for both oral or poster presentation are being accepted until February 29, 2016. Check out all the details by visiting the conference website – www.irc2016canada.ca. The date for the next ARS Biennial Conference has also been announced -. the Conference will take place in Port Augusta, South Australia from Sunday 24th to Thursday 28th September and will have a Transition to Transformation theme. Further details will be available on the ARS website over the coming months and in upcoming issues of the newsletter.
Take care over the holiday season. I look forward to receiving your contributions in 2016.
