The Australian Rangeland Society has an exciting opportunity available for management of its social media. Do you have a broad interest in rangelands including natural resource management, primary production, conservation, tourism etc.? Are you social media savvy? Or keen and a quick learner?
We are seeking the services of a Society member to fill the role of Social Media Editor. The SME is responsible for managing Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts in accordance with the Society’s Social Media Engagement Strategy to provide current information relevant to the use and management of Australian rangelands, facilitate engagement and interaction on rangeland issues, and promote the benefits of Society membership. The role includes sourcing and posting of relevant material, moderating external comment and reporting regularly on social media activity to the Publications Committee. The SME is also a member of the Publications Committee which meets by teleconference five-six times a year. The position is voluntary but receives an Honorarium of $2,500 per annum. Part of this is currently used to engage professional assistance in sourcing relevant material. Your present location is no restriction on eligibility provided adequate telephone and Internet access are available.
