Do Grasslands Have a Role in Fighting Climate Change?
April 8, 2021William Bond, emeritus professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Cape Town, has recently released a very interesting short video on Youtube entitled The Untold Story of Grasses. This film challenges us to consider the role of grasses within ecosystems and particularly focusses on why obsessive tree planting may not be the best way of fighting climate change.
Professor Bond has also developed a website with useful grassland resources which can be found at https://openecosystems.co.za/.
